BIODIESELMACH® PRESENTS A PATENTED DOUBLE STAGE
HYDRODYNAMIC MIXER
Biodieselmach®
presents a patented double stage hydrodynamic mixer
which allows the production of reliable and cost-efficient equipment for
continuous stream biodiesel production, minimizing the technical complexity of
biodiesel production projects.
The technology
provides a unique way of mixing
the reaction components (vegetable oil and methyl alcohol) in a
stream hydrodynamic process, which leads to intensification of
the transesterification reaction, the primary process of
biodiesel production. The results are two-fold: the reaction
time is significantly reduced and the reaction is more complete
than the conventional process.
The reaction is carried out on a molecular
level. All reaction components are
subjected to high pressure impulses in the complex controlled
processor. When processing vegetable oils in the Biodieselmach ®
reactor, the fatty acid molecules are broken with micro-bursts,
which leads to a decrease in viscosity, as well as a significant
reduction of reaction time (seconds instead of hours, as in
conventional process), and an increase of cetane number, as well
as general fuel performance.
We specialize in production of medium to
large biodiesel plants. Our
biodiesel production units are concise and are easy to fit into
existing technological processes. Production of those units is
ISO 9001:2000 certified.
BIODIESEL can be
produced from various vegetable oils,
such as sunflower, rapeseed etc. BIODIESEL qualities depend on
the feedstock. Thus, palm oil BIODIESEL has the highest energy
value, but also has the highest cloud point and filtering
temperatures. Rapeseed BIODIESEL has a lower energy value, but
also a much lower cloud point, thus being the best option for
temperate climates, such as exist in Ukraine and Russia.
Both pure BIODIESEL
(B100) and various blends
of BIODIESEL with petrol diesel, such as B5 to B20 (20%
biodiesel and 80% petrol diesel, which is the most common type
of biodiesel blend), can be used as motor fuel.
Biodiesel
has outstanding lubrication characteristics.
It removes petrochemical residue from engine parts, and
increases the fuel’s cetane number, which is one of its
advantages over traditional petrol diesel.
BIODIESEL is
environmentally friendly.
It is fully biodegradable. 99% of biodiesel is decomposed by
microorganisms in soil or water within 28 days.
BIODIESEL burns with
a minimum of harmful emissions,
such as sulfur and lead. Carbon oxides emission is significantly
lowered. Engine exhaust smells of vegetable oil. A high flash
point (between 120 and 130 degrees Centigrade) makes this fuel
much safer than petroleum fuels.
One ton of vegetable
oil and 111 kilograms of alcohol
(accompanied by 12 kilograms of catalyst), yields
approximately 970 kilograms of biodiesel and 153 kilograms of
glycerin (referred to as G-phase in Germany). Methoxides (methylates)
of potassium or sodium are recommended as catalysts.
Only 11 kW of
electric energy is needed for processing of one ton of oil,
which is several fold lower than the amount of energy required
by traditional technology.
In our process we
use a minimal amount of alcohol,
(in accordance with transesterification reaction recipe, one
portion of alcohol to nine portions of oil by weight) and a
minimum amount of catalyst. We do not wash and dry BIODIESEL.
The reaction is completed in one pass, as opposed to at least
two passes for quality BIODIESEL in conventional processes.
The quality of BIODIESEL,
produced with BioDieselMach® equipment are in accordance with
primary international standards of BIODIESEL production.
